Avatar: The Last Airbender nails :)

I only started watching The Last Airbender last week and have already reached the series finale (Gonna watch it later, can’t wait). So, I’ve made these nails :) There’s Aang on the thumb, his little 3D glider on the ring finger and some glittery, ‘swooshy’, silver/grey air designs on the other nails. These aren’t peeeerfect, I rushed them a bit, but I’m pleased I got to practice painting faces again (although, still can’t paint real, human faces). Arrgh, which reminds me! How creepy was that Face Stealer?! :/

Anyway, I haven’t been posting much lately, sorry about that. Hopefully I can get back on track again - starting with these :) Hope you like them x

Just some simple nails (which sort of look like creepy teeth in this photo, ignore that.. Haha). This was my attempt at the one stroke technique which I found pretty much impossible, so probably wont be trying that again. Anyway, not a very good example of one stroke-y painting, but I like how these turned out, I think. Not very exciting but thought I’d post them up anyway :) x

I made this sooooo long ago and have only just taken a photo to share today :S The colours look a bit off because I took this in bright sunlight (Woo! So glad the weather’s starting to get a bit better now).

Anyway, this is just another quick necklace I’ve made :) x

Peter Pan’s Shadow in my Lamp Shade :)

I was supposed to be sorting out all my junk to make the bedroom look more ‘grown up’ when I took a break to do this.. :S Ha!

Okay, so, long story short - I was trying to project Peter’s shadow onto the ceiling (like in the film), but that didn’t work (or at least how I was trying to do it), so instead I found that the little cut-out looked nice placed inside the shade like this anyway, so not a completely wasted project after all :D

Also found on Google that I’m not the first person to try and fail at a Peter Pan shadow project and end up with the same idea - http://everythingkikka.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/peter-pans-shadow.html (there’s the link, with more info on how to replicate the look).

Anyway, I think I like it :D And I’ll keep it this way at least for a little while, until it’s time to be a grown up (Urrrgh!) x

‘E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial’ 3D Nail Art

Possibly (.. no, definitely!) the weirdest thing I’ve ever tried - ET’s glowing finger. Haha!

I had some material left after making another set of nails and didn’t want to waste it, so I had to think of something quickly and this was the result. Sometimes I wonder if there is something wrong with me.. XD

I’ll be going around trying to revive dead plants and touching strangers with it.. “Ouuuuccchhh…”

I wasn’t sure whether or not to upload a photo because it’s so strange, but thought it’s pretty funny so I might as well XD Anyway, hopefully with the space-y filter I’ve added it miiiiight be recognisable as an ET nail rather than just completely disturbing, haha.

A Kenny bracelet :)

I made Kenny’s (Or “Kiiiienny’s”, as Cartman would say) little head aaaaages ago, and only today thought about what to do with him - So here he is! I might start making the other characters too and make this into a full on charm braclet :) Or maybe a couple of rats to scatter around him.. Hmm, I’ll see :)

Wow! Just saw that there are over 3000 of you following this blog :O That’s incredible! Thanks so much everyone, I’m so flattered that there are so many of you who are interested in seeing my weirdo nails :D Haha.

I made this - http://fav.me/d4r59fc - set of Kermit inspired nails last year but I never really liked the photo. So, here’s an updated picture, a bit clearer and with better lighting. I have newer photos of other, older designs too but don’t want to bombard everyone with those all at once so I might just upload one every few weeks as well as my new sets.

Just a bit of fun - I had a bit of clay left after another craft-y project so had a go at these Evil Dead inspired stud earrings :) A little Book of the Dead/Necronomicon and a chainsaw :)

They aren’t very good, but they are only tiny so you can’t really tell when I’m wearing them, haha.

Easter is Coming…

Here are my Easter nails for this year :) Dragon eggs based on those given to Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones.

Although, these aren’t just to celebrate Easter - I cannot wait for the show to come back on this weekend! I’ve just finished rewatching the first two seasons in preperation for the new episodes. I am SO excited :D But, now I can’t stop humming the theme song..

These nails didn’t turn out as well as I’d hoped, but getting them to look exactly the same as those on the show would have taken me until next Easter, so I tried my best and made these more Dragon-egg-esque ;) Hope they look okay.

The Little Mermaid nails :) Well, not exaaaaactly spot on, but hopefully Ariel-esque.

The blue glittery polishes I started with felt very ‘Under the Sea’, so I decided to make the set mermaid themed :) At first I tried to paint a silhouette of a mermaid but couldn’t get those right, so then thought I might as well try and paint Ariel’s face instead.

Too many clear top coats created bubbles :( But, I don’t mind too much with these, it kinda goes with the theme so I’ll pretend it was on purpose.. Haha :) xx

More Pony nails :) However, this time I have tried something different and made aspects of this set 3D!

There’s Fluttershy on my thumb with her cutie mark on my ring finger, and a gradient and abstract nail art on the other nails. I was going for an overall, classic Japanese tone with this set, so perhaps it would be more appropriate to call these ‘Fluttershy-inspired’?

I am really pleased with how they have turned out! And they were so fun to make, I can’t wait to wear them :)
